GBIS – Insulation Upgrades for Homes without Benefits

The Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS) targets households that don’t receive qualifying benefits but still need help improving their home’s energy efficiency. If your home has a low Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating and falls into a lower council tax band, GBIS could fund or subsidise insulation improvements.

Who can apply?

• Your home has an EPC rating of D, E, F or G.
• Your property falls within Council Tax band A, B, C or D.
• You are not in receipt of qualifying benefits.
• You are a homeowner or a private tenant with the landlord’s permission.
